The Cambridge Women in Philosophy Group
Women are under-represented in philosophy, and this can lead to issues that the Women in Philosophy Group aims to address. Through a series of talks and workshops, we provide a forum for networking and celebrating the work that women are doing in academic philosophy at Cambridge and around the world.
Our group shares in a larger movement, and we recently contributed to the first report on the representation of women in philosophy, produced by The British Philosophical Association Committee for Women in Philosophy and SWIP UK. You can view the report here:
http://www.swipuk.org/notices/2011-09-08/
The group is supported by the Philosophy Faculty, and the History and Philosophy of Science Department.
If you have any questions, would like to receive a detailed termcard or give a talk, please contact Emily Thomas (aeet2), Claire Benn (cmab3) or Vashka dos Remedios (vgw20).
Everybody - from any department, gender, or career stage - are welcome to attend.
