Meet the Philosophy Library team
Jo Harcus (she/her), Philosophy Librarian
About me: when I'm not caring for my mum, I enjoy walking (especially by the sea), reviving my love of sewing (I have lots of unfinished projects in my stash) and reading (especially nature writing and Japanese fiction).
Where you can find me: you can usually find me in my office (next to the computing area) or at the library desk. If I'm not there, I'm usually meeting with colleagues or helping someone elsewhere in the library.
Things I can help you with: responding to your feedback about your library (including book recommendations), literature searching and solving your referencing conundrums, but you can ask me anything - if I don't know the answer I'll probably know someone who does.

About me: I enjoy travelling and exploring historical sites, crocheting cute things and of course, reading! My favourite genres are historical fiction and thrillers (Stephen King is one of my favourites). I also love heavy metal - gigs are my happy place and 90% of my wardrobe is band merch.
Where you can find me: I can usually be found at the enquiry desk. If I'm not there, I'm likely to be reshelving books or working elsewhere in the library.
Things I can help you with: finding books in the library, using the computers and printing facilities, helping you navigate e-resources and answering any questions you might have!
