University of Cambridge Philosophy A-Level Day Thursday, 30 March 2026

The Faculty of Philosophy at Cambridge is organising an event for Philosophy and Religious Studies A-Level students. The aim is to present students with talks by lecturers about different areas of philosophy with an aim of stimulating interest in philosophy, helping them out with material related to the A-Level course, and also giving them a taste of what studying philosophy at university is like. The event will be held on Thursday, 30 March 2026.

The talks will be on areas roughly corresponding to the AQA Philosophy syllabus, but it will be of interest to any student taking similar courses. The schedule is not yet confirmed, but we plan to have talks on knowledge, ethics, God, and the mind. The event will be all day, and last from 10am to 5pm.

In the lunch break, we will also run a discussion session with teachers regarding anything we can be of help with, how to approach certain features of the syllabus, and so on.

We will provide lunch for teachers, but unfortunately lunch will not be provided for students. However, there are many student cafes and college food halls to eat in around the venue.

The deadline for registration of interest is 6 February 2026 and we will let you know whether you have secured tickets by 9 February. Please be aware that there may be more interest than capacity, so registering your interest will not necessarily guarantee tickets.
