Faculty of Philosophy

Feminist Philosophy Reading Group

The Feminist Philosophy Reading Group will continue this term. Everyone is welcome and we meet every second Wednesday, 2-3pm.

For our first session, we will be joined by Robin Dembroff to discuss a paper on “The Metaphysics of Injustice”.

Please find the paper here. And you can read about Robin’s work here. This first session will be on Zoom (email Paula Keller at for the link) and at 4pm so to accommodate for Robin joining us from the US.

For the rest of the term we will be reading selected chapters from Amia Srinivasan’s new The Right to Sex. We will then meet in person (likely in a room in the faculty—tbd) from 2-3pm on Wednesday afternoon.

13th oct:  Robin Dembroff, The Metaphysics of Injustice

27th Oct:  Amia Srinivasan, The Conspiracy against Men (from her Right to Sex)

10th Nov: Amia Srinivasan, Talking to my students about porn  (from her Right to Sex)

24th nov: Amia Srinivasan, Coda: the Politics of Desire (from her Right to Sex)
